Dr. Colleen Skidmore, Dean of Faculty of Arts, and Dr. Cen Huang, Acting Director of International relations & recruitment and Assistant Vice-President of University of Alberta visited CNEEC Chengdu office and GSP of Southwest Jiaotong University on March 29, 2010.
Sophie Jin, Chief representative of CNEEC Chendu office, welcomed the guests from Canada, and gave them a tour of the new campus of Southwest Jiaotong university. Dr. Kaiyin Yan, Director of Teaching Administration Office and Director of the General Study Program, introduced Southwest Jiaotong University and the General Study Program to guests. Dr. Skidmore and Dr. Huang speaks very highly of the students from GSP of Southwest Jiaotong University, who are currently studying at the University of Alberta, for their good performance, and she hopes more students choose to study at the University of Alberta. Then, Dr. Skidmore and Dr. Huang met with GSP students who intend to go to study in University of Alberta this fall. They answered questions from those students and encouraged them to prepare well for study in U of Alberta.
