CNEEC Partnership Model
CNEEC plays a supplementary role in promoting Canadian higher education for export. We will forward suggestions and evaluations to foreign education markets according to the requirements of Canadian universities. We will design and run appropriate projects abroad in order to develop target education markets for Canadian higher education institutes.
The number one strategic priority for CNEEC is to remain deeply involved in all of our projects, acting as a real partner with cooperating institutes abroad rather than simply functioning as a consulting or service agent. CNEEC will provide efficient management and full quality control for all of our projects supervising complete procedures, detailed regulations and documents.
The prospective partners of CNEEC should be exceptional higher education institutes, such as prestigious universities, in target countries. For example, CNEEC's two partners involved in the General Study Program are both universities which rank in the top of 50 among more than 1,300 universities, in China.
CNEEC also keeps in close and frequent contact with Canadian universities as we wish to provide a supplementary road to these universities in recruiting qualified international students. CNEEC may also provide detailed information, research reports, and other related documents to Canadian universities for their reference regarding differing education systems and student characteristics in various countries.
Cooperation structure
All projects initiated by CNEEC are generally structured on three levels. Level one consists of CNEEC and our partners, level two is composed of the Management Committee, and level three includes the project and its operating institute.
CNEEC, as one of the cooperating partners, provides complete procedures, along with detailed documents and regulations for the projects operation. Concurrently, the Management Committee provides efficient management and full quality control through level two.
CNEEC's partners, as part of the cooperation, will take responsibility for ensuing the smooth operation of the project. Most importantly, the partners must ensure that the project reaches and maintains the equivalent academic level and quality of their own institution.
The level two Management Committee is a policy-making, operation supervising, and strategy managing body. Both CNEEC and our partners conduct their management activities and operations through the Management Committee.
Level three includes the project and its operating institute. It is the body responsible for the implementation and execution of the project. CNEEC's staff is consistently involved in this body and also assumes important responsibilities of management.
CNEEC partners with universities across Canada to enable Chinese students to apply and complete their undergraduate studies in Canada following two (2) years of undergraduate studies in China. These partnerships exist in three forms:
- Articulation Agreements - CNEEC has established close relationships with several Canadian Universities. Articulation Agreements are in place with eight (8) Canadian Universities, identifying equivalent GSP courses eligible for transfer credits following two years of study in China. Currently, Shandong University is the partnering university, located in Jinan.
- Other Canadian Universities - Students who complete two years of undergraduate studies through the General Studies Project (“GSP”) can also apply to and complete their studies at other Canadian Universities. Currently, GSP students have received transfer credits and been accepted at more than thirty five (35) other universities in Canada. All these students are provided support from CNEEC with their program selection, application process and study permit process. (Link to list of Canadian universities with CNEEC Students).
- CNEEC also acts as Agent for several Canadian universities who wish to attract Chinese students to their university.
